Spent the morning at Virginia Key North Point cleaning up with the Frost Science Museum. We picked up more than 2,000 pieces of trash, and logged it on the Marine Debris Tracker App. This is one of the only cleanups in Miami, that regularly logs its data. It’s such an important step that most cleanups are missing. Removing the trash is important. But debris research is hard because we don’t have any baseline observations. Observations are the first step in the scientific method.
Thanks Frost, keep up the good work!
